As a result of the double elimination at the end of Day 2, the Final Table started with 7 instead of the usual 8 players and Ognjen Sekularac as well as Zohar Spivack dominated the early stages, putting a lot of pressure on the short stacks. Start-of-the-day Chipleader Spivack also ended up in Heads-Up against Marek Blaško, however he created some controversy because he refused to show his hole cards towards the end of the tournament for the delayed live stream and the tournament director as well as his brother could not change that either.
Blaško slowly grinded his opponent down to a 3-1 lead and the karma should strike back against Spivack when all Chips went in the middle with the Israeli at risk with K-T. The Slovakian was behind with K-8 but the worse kicker found an 8 on the Flop and Spivack could not improve anymore. With this victory, Marek Blaško has now become the second player to win 2 GCOP Main Events after the recent triumph of Czech Vojtech Ruzicka, who defeated Sekularac three months ago at the Kings Casino.
